Mike Love single “Wild Horse” continues to climb the Texas Music charts

Even now as the world continues to unravel and everyone (hopefully) is sitting inside their homes, “Wild Horse” continues to stretch its legs and climb up the charts.

Since its release, “Wild Horse” has seen a steady and consistent climb ranking higher each week on the Texas Regional Radio Report. In addition to that, after a slight dip on the Texas Country Music Chart, the song has rebounded and saw a three-spot jump on the most recent chart.

“It’s both encouraging and frustrating,” says Love. “People are obviously digging the song so that makes me happy. Unfortunately, with this whole lockdown thing, I can’t get out to promote it more or play any live shows. But this is the world we’re all living in right now so we’re making the best of it.”

Recorded in the famed Rosewood Studio in Tyler, TX, and co-produced by Drew Hall with Greg Hunt “Wild Horse” is Love’s first new music since his 2018 EP Lost Highway.

“It’s a rodeo song. Now I’m not a rodeo guy or anything, I’ve never even ridden a bull, but I just love this song. It’s a great, genuine country song with a great message about work ethic and never giving up.”

Currently Love’s April show dates in Kansas and Iowa are being rescheduled. Details for a live online performance are being worked out as well.
